Faithful Men Seminar - 2026

Real Men

Seminar Description

This seminar is for real men: not perfect ones. We live in a broken world that promotes distorted images of manhood, shaped more by culture than Scripture. As restored sinners, we are capable of doing well with God’s help, even while being unable to attain perfection. The goal isn’t to become the ideal man, but to grow a bit more from where we are. Through these four topics, we’ll explore the realities of manhood, what practical leadership looks like, how integrity is built and maintained, and the grit required to persevere and pass what we’ve learned on to others. This is about Christ-empowered progress, not flawless performance.

Topic Descriptions

The Realities of Manhood

Every man is a mix of good and evil: and Scripture doesn’t hide this. In this topic, we’ll examine the lives of Saul, Solomon, and David, men who displayed both remarkable strengths and serious failures. From their stories, we’ll extract character traits worth imitating and warnings worth heeding. The goal is to look in the mirror honestly. Real men stop pretending and start depending.

Practical Leadership

Every man eventually finds himself leading something: a family, a team, a project, a conversation. But how should he lead? Many men default to what they saw growing up or what culture handed them, for better or worse. The core confusion comes from misunderstanding the difference between leadership and management. In this topic, we’ll cut through the confusion surrounding those concepts, as well as authority, responsibility, and submission. In the end, real men lead with steady hands, not heavy ones.

Men of Integrity

Integrity means being the same man in private as in public: whole and undivided. In this topic, we’ll examine what biblical integrity looks like and how it erodes through small, seemingly insignificant compromises. We’ll identify common testing grounds where integrity is challenged: finances, sexuality, words, and commitments. When a man lives with integrity: saying what he means, keeping his word, being honest even when it costs him: the people around him learn they can trust him. His wife feels secure. His children believe what he says. His coworkers and friends know he’s reliable. Trust is the relational fruit of integrity because it grows naturally from consistency over time. It’s not something a man can demand or manufacture. It’s earned through faithfulness in small, everyday moments. And when integrity fails, trust is the first casualty: often taking far longer to rebuild than it took to lose. And when they fail, real men know what comes next.

Men with Grit

All men can have grit: the ability to persevere, endure, learn, grow, and ask the hard personal growth questions. In this topic, we’ll explore what grit looks like and how it develops. We’ll also discuss how men with grit pass what they’ve learned on to others through solid mentoring relationships. Effective mentoring takes grit because it is hard, takes time, and requires authenticity. Real men figure out how to teach these things to other men.
