2026 Faithful Women Seminar
Four women stood up at the Faithful Women Seminar on October 3, 2026 and talked about ordinary life with a living God. This book puts what they said into print.
One is a counselor who tells stories about her friends. One is a pastor's wife who loves her rough-edged neighbors. One works beside her husband in their apple orchards and would rather avoid conflict. One is a mother of four who jokes that she'd rather talk about sushi than sex, and then talks about sex plainly and with care.
The Four Chapters
From Proximity to Partnership Many of us sit near the same women for years and never get past "I'm fine." Using Romans 12 and stories from her own friendships, the speaker shows how women of different ages and callings come to share each other's burdens. She ends with two lists worth keeping: what protects a friendship and what preys on it.
Everyday Gospel Living Ten years on one corner of a small neighborhood. There's a neighbor who has been in and out of jail, a lonely boy on a bike and a woman who bought two puppies and ended up in a Bible study. The speaker also tells how she doubted God's existence for years and how He rebuilt her faith. She closes with simple ways to carry the gospel at home and down the street.
Truth and Love in Tension A strained relationship needs truth and love together at full strength. The speaker works through James 1:19-20, explains how unspoken expectations feed conflict and lays out a practical way to forgive. She includes a story about an argument with her husband on the highway. He gave permission.
Seen, Known and Not Ashamed A frank, biblical look at female sexuality for married and single women. It covers God's design from Genesis, the lies women believe about their bodies, shame, sexual sin and the hope of the gospel. The last part helps mothers talk with their children from the early years onward.
Who Should Read It
Mothers, singles, pastors' wives and anyone mentoring younger women. Small groups and Sunday school classes will find plenty to discuss, and the book is better read with a friend than alone.
Paperback, 112 pages
Please Note
The fourth chapter names body parts and specific sexual sins. It is written for adult women. Mothers may want to read it before passing the book to a daughter.
